Bio

Austin Ford is a Nashville based pianist, singer, songwriter, and bandleader. From the age of 5 when he began learning to play the piano, music has been the central passion of Austin’s life. As an adolescent he became obsessed with The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Ben Folds, learning many of their songs and eventually writing his own music in their spirit. 

To bring his music to life, Austin assembled a murderer’s row of musicians, most of whom he met while studying jazz piano in college. They are called the “Time Travelers” because of the classic nature of Austin’s music: it hearkens back to a time when the musicianship of each player was just as essential to pop music as the talent of the artist. 

With his Time Travelers, Austin has recorded a ten-song album of original music. Not including Austin, fourteen musicians contributed their artistry. The first two singles, “Bonehead” and “The Tyrant” are out now, and a new song will be released on the first Friday of every month in 2024, culminating in the official album release in October.
